The training was for five days ending on Friday, September 1.

The participants graduated with certificates at the Nasau Youth Training Centre in Sigatoka.

These youths not only learned about disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, they also went through an organic agriculture training that widened their knowledge on proper sustainable agricultural approaches.

In the one-week training, according to the Ministry of Youth and Sports the youths were able to learn about disaster preparedness, climate change resilience and sustainable agriculture.

The training had students from Cuvu College, Andhra College, Kavanagasau College, Sigatoka Valley High School and Sigatoka Methodist High School.

The ministry said it was proud of the number, especially with majority of the participants being Year 12 and Year 13 students.
