THE McDonald’s Fijian Drua Women have made a late change to their match-day squad for tomorrow’s Super Rugby Women semi-final against the Queensland Reds with halfback Repeka Tove replacing Ivamere Nabura on the reserves bench.

Nabura has been replaced by Tove due to injuries.

The change was confirmed today by head coach Mike Legge ahead of the blockbuster clash at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

For Tove, the late call-up is another opportunity to contribute in one of the biggest matches of the season.

“I just want to thank my coach for giving me another opportunity to play with my sisters,” she said.

Tove acknowledged the magnitude of the occasion, saying a home semi-final would be a tough contest but believed in the team’s preparation and unity.

“I know that a home semi-final won’t be an easy game tomorrow, but I trust my teammates.”

The reserve halfback said the Drua’s focus would be on backing one another and executing their roles against a dangerous Reds outfit.

“I guess it’s all about trusting each other and making sure we get the job done tomorrow,” she said.

The Drua will be chasing a place in the Super Rugby Women grand final in front of their home supporters tomorrow at 1pm.
