The North West Billiards and Snooker Association’s (NWBSA) round two league snooker competition for next season would resume from next month.
This was confirmed by association spokesperson Roneel Sami.
“We have already completed round one competition where nine games were played between the clubs.
“Round two would begin on January 21, 2024,” he said.
Sami said after the nine games were played in round two, the top six teams would fight for a place in the final.
“Following round two competition, the top two clubs will automatically qualify for the semi-finals while the remaining four clubs would compete in a play-off round, in order to grab the other two semi-final spots.”
“We will try to finish the competition towards the end of April next year since our annual general meeting is expected to be held in May, 2024.”
Sharks club currently leads the competition with 27 points, followed by Simla Dragons in second place with 24 points while Sigatoka 1 is on third place with 15 points.
The 10 teams in the competition are: Lautoka Shooters, Nadi Sports, Tavua United, Nadi Club, Sigatoka 2, Ba Central, Tavua Lions, Sigatoka 1, Simla Dragons and Sharks.
