Former Chief Executive Officer of the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority (FRCA) and former Fiji High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Mr. Jitoko Tikolevu, has been appointed to the Board of the Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) by the Minister for Finance, in accordance with Section 7(1) of the FNPF Act.
Mr. Tikolevu’s appointment is effective from 2 September 2026 for a term of four years.
He brings more than four decades of experience in public administration, taxation, revenue management, policy development, and diplomacy to the Fund. His distinguished career began in the Fiji Civil Service in 1981, before progressing through senior roles in the Auditor General’s Office, Inland Revenue Department, and the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority.
Mr. Tikolevu served as Chief Executive Officer of FRCA from 2007 to 2015, leading significant fiscal and organizational reforms that enhanced revenue collection, strengthened operational efficiency, and contributed to the agency receiving the Prime Minister’s Service Excellence Award in 2014.
He holds a Diploma in Business Studies from the Fiji Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies from the University of the South Pacific, and a Master of Taxation from the University of Auckland.
Throughout his career, Mr. Tikolevu has held several prominent governance and leadership positions, including Deputy Chairman of the Fiji Development Bank and Investment Fiji Boards, Chairman of the Oceania Customs Organisation Board, and Chairman of the Pacific Islands Tax Administrators Association. He also played a key role in negotiating double taxation agreements between Fiji and several international partners.
Most recently, he served as Fiji’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, where he represented Fiji’s interests and strengthened diplomatic and economic ties with key international partners.
FNPF welcomes Mr Tikolevu to the Board. His extensive experience in leadership, governance, public finance and strategic policy will complement the Board’s existing capabilities and support the Fund’s long-term strategic objectives.
