AN 18-year-old student and two juveniles have been remanded in custody after appearing in the Suva Magistrates Court charged with the aggravated robbery and murder of Filipe Bulimaibau.
Isimeli Jnr Tagirara, alongside two juveniles aged 15 and 17, fronted Magistrate Joseph Daurewa this afternoon jointly facing one count of aggravated robbery and murder.
It is alleged that on the morning of October 11, at approximately 2:35 AM, the trio assaulted Mr Bulimaibau, 28, along Gordon Street in Suva and robbed him of his $499 mobile phone. The victim and his associates had earlier been drinking at a local nightclub in Suva before leaving the establishment.
Magistrate Daurewa has transferred the matter to the High Court in Suva.
All three are scheduled to make their first High Court appearance on November 20.
