Update: 1:04PM MORE than 100,000 customers of the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) residing in the provinces of Rewa, Tailevu and Naitasiri will no longer have to travel long distances to Suva to access services at the Nasese headquarters.
They can now access the same services in Nausori where a new branch was officially opened this morning.
In his address, FRCS chief executive Visvanath Das said they anticipated an approximate 150,000 customers in the greater Rewa, Tailevu, Naitasiri and surrounding areas to be served here.
“This office represents an investment by Government through the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service and reiterates our Government’s commitment in taking its services to our people,” Mr Das said.
Members of the Nausori business community, Police Force, FRCS stakeholders, Commissioner Central Setareki Tale and staff of the FRCS from Suva and Nausori were present at the opening.
