Taiwan and Fiji have reaffirmed their 55-year friendship, with a renewed commitment to strengthening cooperation in agriculture, healthcare, technology and education.
The commitment was highlighted at a reception hosted by Taipei Trade Office representative David Cheng-Wei Wu at the Grand Pacific Hotel two weeks ago to celebrate Taiwan’s National Day.
Former prime minister and Fiji Labour Party leader Mahendra Chaudhry was the chief guest, alongside members of the diplomatic corps, senior government officials, guests and the Taiwan community.
The event celebrated the longstanding partnership and the shared vision of a sustainable and prosperous Pacific.
