Former Queen Victoria School champion and SportsWorld Fijian Under-20 flyhalf Anare Tabakaucoro will captain the side in their opening match against Georgia at Rondebosch, South Africa.
This was confirmed by head coach Andrew Osborne during a Zoom call with the media yesterday afternoon.
Osborne said Tabakaucoro’s appointment reflects the experience he brings to the squad and the strong leadership qualities he has shown throughout preparations.
“I am looking forward to his game and his voice on the field for this group of guys,” Osborne said.
The Fijian Under-20 rugby team will take on Georgia tonight at 11pm Fiji time.
