The Nadi weather office states an active trough of low pressure with cloud and rain and the enhanced Northwest winds affect the Fiji group.
This system is expected to gradually spread East to the rest of the group until Monday.
There will be occasional to periods rain, heavy at times with isolated thunderstorms in greater Nadi Area-Lautoka-Ba-Tavua-Vatukoula-Rakiraki areas, interior of Ba-Ra-Nadroga-Navosa, Naitasiri, Northern Bua and Macuata province, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group
For the rest of the Fiji group, expect occasional rain and few thunderstorms.
Isolated heavy falls expected especially in the afternoon or evening.
Persistent heavy rain may lead to flash flood in low lying and flood prone areas.
