NAVUA FC has received a major boost ahead of the 2026 Extra Battle of the Giants tournament, with Blue Gas coming on board as the team’s major sponsor.

Navua FC will march into the tournament as Blue Gas Navua, with the sponsorship providing added support as the side prepares to compete against the best teams in the country.

The 2026 Extra Battle of the Giants kicks off today at the 4R Stadium at Govind Park in Ba.

Navua FC head coach Roderick Singh acknowledged Blue Gas for supporting the team and said the players would repay the sponsor through their performances on the field.

“Thank you for coming in and being our sponsors. The team will do their uttermost best and perform at their best.

“We will make sure to give enough mileage and make sure the Blue Gas name goes up as the team progresses.

“This time, we want to thank you,” Singh said.

Singh said the sponsorship meant a lot to the team and had added motivation to their preparations for the tournament.

“Blue Gas support means a lot to us and we thank them for coming on board and supporting us. We will do our best,” he said.

He said the team had been preparing well and understood the challenge ahead.

“Our preparation has been going well. Our mentality is to prepare well because every game is going to be a challenge and every game will be tough.

“We need to control ball possession and make sure we play according to our game plan,” Singh added.

Singh said the team would take each match as it came and remain focused throughout the tournament.

He said the players were aware of the expectations and would look to make the most of the opportunity provided by the tournament.

With Blue Gas now backing the side, Navua FC will be hoping to make a strong start to their Extra BOG campaign today at Govind Park.
