Singapore 7s: Fiji loses to Scotland

FIJI’S hopes of a repeat of last year’s back to back titles has become harder after its 12-17 loss to Scotland

The Scots were determined from the beginning drawing first blood with a try to Max McFarland.

The try was not converted and Fiji replied through Hong Kong 7s player of the final  Aminiasi Tuimaba

Both teams drew 5 all after Tuimaba’s try was not converted

Glen Bryce dotted another try for the Scots, which was converted to give them a 12-5 lead at the breather.

At the restart  Tuimaba scored within the first half. Try was converted and the two sides were locked 12 all.

Speedster Alasio Naduva who came in as sub copped a yellow card.

Scotland took advantage of the situation to score in the dying seconds of the game to clinch victory

Fiji missed the services of playmaker Jerry Tuwai who was injured in the earlier match against Canada

Fiji’s final match is at 11.28pm Fiji time against South Africa.
