Vodafone Fiji has announced its support and partnership with the Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) as silver sponsors for the upcoming South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) 2024, which starts today at the Sheraton Resort & Spa, Denarau in Nadi.

As an annual event that gathers tourism operators, wholesalers, travel agents and other industry professionals from across the South Pacific region, the SPTE will specifically focus on Pacific Island products.

“Our sponsorship for the SPTE epitomises our dedication to fostering connectivity and innovation within the Pacific tourism industry, and we aim to pool resources with other participants alongside engaging in business-to-business meetings,” Vodafone Fiji’s chief commercial officer Salman Khan said.

“As the SPTE makes its debut in Fiji, we at Vodafone Fiji are thrilled to be part of this historic moment.

“Our involvement goes beyond sponsorship, we are eager to showcase our services and solutions to both regional and international markets.”

The SPTE plays a central role in promoting sustainable tourism development in the South Pacific by fostering connections between local operators and international markets, together with raising awareness of the unique cultural and natural attractions that the region has to offer.

Vodafone Fiji, which has sister companies across the Pacific markets, reaffirmed its support for regional development through the sponsorship, forging valuable partnerships and the promotion of sustainable tourism practices as silver sponsors of the upcoming SPTE.

“The business opportunities at the SPTE will be heightened by the presence of key decision-makers and stakeholders in the tourism sector and Vodafone Fiji is pleased to be a part of an event which will benefit the tourism sector in the long run in shaping a Pacific tourism landscape which is more connected and vibrant,” Mr Khan said.
