NEPTUNE Pacific has appointed experienced maritime executive Martin Henry as its new general manager Technical and Marine, strengthening the company’s technical and marine leadership as it manages its growing fleet.

Henry will take up the role on October 12 and will be based at Neptune Pacific’s head office in Singapore. He brings more than 40 years of international maritime experience spanning ship management, fleet operations and technical leadership across Europe and Asia. Neptune Pacific said Henry’s appointment would bring extensive industry experience to the role.

“Martin brings more than 40 years of international maritime experience across ship management, fleet operations, and technical leadership in Europe and Asia,” the company said.

Henry joins Neptune Pacific from Taylor Maritime, where he served as chief technical officer. He previously served as chief executive officer of Tamar Ship Management, where he helped grow the company’s fleet under management from 17 to 45 vessels before leading its integration with Grindrod Ship Management.

His career has also included senior technical positions with Carisbrooke Shipping and CMA CGM, where he was responsible for large global fleets, newbuild programs and technical performance. A Class 1 chief engineer, chartered engineer, chartered marine engineer and Fellow of IMarEST, Henry has extensive experience both at sea and ashore.

In his new position, he will lead technical and marine management across Neptune Pacific’s fleet, overseeing fleet performance, safety, compliance and operational standards.
