ISIKELI “The Bullet” Senidoko has overcome a gruelling two-month weight-cutting battle and is ready to put his Super Middleweight title on the line against Winston Hill in the main bout of tonight’s ZEG Boxing Promotions program at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.
Senidoko was relieved after making the mandatory weight at yesterday’s official weigh-in, having worked tirelessly to shed close to a kilogram in the final stages of his preparation.
The Matanisau, Wainimala, Naitasiri native even had to run several laps around Albert Park to get down to the required weight, but the sacrifice has only fuelled his hunger for tonight’s showdown.
“Preparation has been really hard, especially in this sport of boxing, but I achieved the weight required of me and I can’t wait to unleash my fury on my opponent, Winston,” Senidoko said.
However, Hill is determined to spoil the champion’s night, declaring that tonight’s bout will be his final professional fight and vowing to bow out on a high by stopping The Bullet.
But Senidoko has no intention of surrendering his crown without a fight, promising Hill a brutal challenge if he hopes to take the title.
“Our motto in Naitasiri is no retreat, no surrender. This title will remain in Naitasiri. So, if he wants to take this title, I will make him shed blood in the ring,” Senidoko declared.
With Hill chasing a memorable farewell and Senidoko fighting to protect his crown, tonight’s main event promises a fierce battle between two determined fighters.
