A schoolteacher accused of raping his student has been granted bail by the High Court in Suva.
The accused appeared before Justice Daniel Goundar today, charged with one count of digital rape.
He is alleged to have raped a 16-year-old female student between June 1 and July 20 this year.
The State did not object to bail but sought strict and standard bail conditions, including a condition that the accused not interfere with State witnesses.
The matter was adjourned to September 21
