KALI-D says he did not know how popular he was in Fiji until fans began reaching out to him on social media.

“I didn’t realise how big my single Ride My Lane was, so I started reaching out and when the opportunity came about to come and perform here, I said to Iyaz let’s do this,” the 27-year-old shared.

The duo, along with DJ Victor, will perform at Onyx Platinum Night Club tomorrow night.

“It’s a chance to give back to the people of Fiji who have showed so much love and appreciation for my music, so I want to show my love and appreciation back by performing here.”

International artist Iyaz said he had been performing in Australia for a number of years and had always wanted to visit Fiji.

“I’ve been coming to this part of the world for about four years and only came as far as Australia,” he said.

“When I managed to come this time around, I made known that I wanted to go to Fiji and here I am,” he said.

“What can I say, it’s a beautiful place and I can’t wait for tomorrow night so we can rock out.

“I still haven’t gone sightseeing yet but we can make it happen and I can’t wait to see the rest of the country.”
