The Radisson Blu Resort, Fiji Denarau Island, recently hosted children from St Mina Children’s Home — who were accompanied by their guardians — to lunch, fun games and activities.
This was part of the resort’s participation in the Radisson Hotel Group’s (RHG) June Global Activation month.
Led by hotel manager Ms Amirah Hasna, the group — made up of resort executives and staff members — served a sumptuous buffet lunch for about 35 residents of the home.
In a statement, the resort stated it gave educational and sporting gear to the children through support from the resort’s responsible business team.
“The Radisson Blu Resort provides Saint Mina’s residents space at the resort once a week to sell their home-made handicraft through a special partnership arrangement,” the statement read.
“Every June, Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) marks its annual action month, a global initiative that brings together hotel properties and corporate teams to create positive impacts within local communities and contribute to environmental protection efforts.
“The program forms part of RHG’s broader commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.”
According to the resort, the theme for RHG’s 2026 Action Month, “Turning intention into Action”, encourages teams across the globe to transform purpose into meaningful community and environmental engagement.
“Centered around three key pillars, people, community, and planet, action month mobilises RHG teams worldwide to make a tangible difference in the areas where they operate.
“As a responsible tourism business, RHG implements programs designed to support and empower local communities and employees, strengthen grassroots initiatives, and promote sustainable and responsible business practices.”
