Update: 4:47PM THE InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa has brought in an expert cocktail mixer to be based at the resort’s newly refurbished Kama lounge for the next three months, a media release from the resort today has announced.
He is Australian, Evan Stanley, who comes with a strong pedigree within the bar and beverage management.
Evans has worked in some of Australia’s best cocktail bars including Le Bon Ton – Collingwood (Time Out Melbourne voted Best New Bar 2015) and Black Pearl Fitzroy (ranked #7 in Drinks International’s Worlds 50 Best Bars 2013.
“His experience, knowledge and skills has seen him receive multiple accolades and awards including Time Out Magazine (Melbourne) Bartender of the Year 2014 and ALIA (Australian Liquor Industry Awards) Bartender of the Year 2013, the resort reveals.
“Evan will assist in the creation of new cocktails infused with local ingredients to be introduced to our extensive offering,” said Akira Tanaka, InterContinental Fiji’s Director Dining & Entertainment.
“The resort will leverage his expertise and experience to further educate and develop the team in the art of mixology; of the different products and the creation of new cocktails infused with local ingredients adding to the Kama Lounge cocktail menu.”
