The Ministry of Education will focus on strengthening teaching and learning, closing learning gaps, and improving literacy and numeracy outcomes across all year levels as term two of the school year begins today.
Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro is calling on students to begin the new term with focus, discipline, and a strong commitment to improving their academic performance.
He is urging students to work hard and make full use of available learning opportunities, saying education remains key to their future success.
Mr Radrodro is also reminding parents and students that bus card redemption is now available at all previously announced locations.
“Parents and guardians are also being reminded of the important role they play in supporting regular school attendance, healthy routines and positive behaviour at home to help children succeed in school,” he said.
Continued support from teachers, school leaders, parents and development partners, he said, was essential to improving education outcomes across Fiji.
