AFTER four days of glitz and glamour, Dr Peggy Ravusiro was crowned Miss Fiji 2025 on Saturday night.
Dr Ravusiro, who has paternal links to Papua New Guinea and maternal roots in Kadavu, said her advocacy was strongly shaped by her parents and her upbringing.
“I don’t come from the typical family dynamic, so I understand the inadequacies one can face in life because of it,” she said.
She stressed that resilience remained a defining strength, regardless of background or circumstance.
“Regardless of how your family is set up, we are still able to face circumstances with resilience, and we remain committed to making it work as a nation.”
Earlier in the competition, she also received the special award for Best Research Presentation.
Miss Nasinu, Ailava Samuela, was named first runner-up, followed by Miss Suva, Rhyelle Aisea, as second runner-up.
Miss Rakiraki, Shrdha Mala claimed the third runner-up title, while Miss Nausori, Bernadeta Waqavanua, was named fourth runner-up.
