Social Democratic Liberal Party provisional candidate Simione Rasova says he will be the “last man standing” if everyone decides to abandon the party.

He said that he was a “die-hard SODELPA” and that no one could ever convince him to join another political party.

“I am a staunch SODELPA supporter and I tell you that I will be the last man standing in case everyone decides to jump ship,” Mr Rasova said.

“I believe in the principles and values of SODELPA because they will win in the upcoming general elections.

“This is the only party that doesn’t have coup makers or is motivated by the iTaukei movement or the vanua.”

He said before making any decision, he would consult the people who voted him into Parliament.

“I am representing my people in Kadavu and majority of them are for SODELPA.

“I have been approached to contest the upcoming general elections by other political parties but I’ve chosen to remain with SODELPA.”

Mr Rasova said SODELPA was the only political party that believed in Christian values.

“If you are planning to leave SODELPA, then you should change your faith.”
