The People’s Alliance (PA)leader Sitiveni Rabuka has hit back at the FijiFirst general secretary Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum for saying there is inconsistency in the messaging by the PA and the National Federation Party.

At a news conference on Monday, Mr Rabuka said Mr Sayed-Khaiyum made comment on what PA deputy leader Lynda Tabuya said about Energy Fiji Ltd (EFL) in her capacity as a concerned consumer.

He said the party was also concerned with the way EFL was being operated. Mr Rabuka also responded to Mr Sayed-Khaiyum labelling him the father of coups in Fiji.

He said Mr Sayed-Khaiyum should ask himself why he was in a party led by coup leader.

“If everybody learnt that 1987 was wrong, why do it again,” he asked.

Mr Rabuka said that he has repeatedly apologised to Fijians for his actions and he would apologise again if needed.

“A good leader knows when he has offended others and if some may not have heard his apology, he will remind them.”
