Kerzner International has officially announced the development of Fiji’s first One&Only resort and community of branded Private Homes, set to open in 2029 on Nacula Island in the Yasawa Islands.

In a major step forward, private home sales will begin this November, offering buyers a rare opportunity to own part of one of the world’s most exclusive hospitality brands.

The project is the result of a strategic alliance between Kerzner, the global luxury hospitality group behind the One&Only brand, and BSP Life, one of Fiji’s largest institutional investors and a subsidiary of BSP Financial Group.

It marks a significant milestone in the country’s tourism and property sectors, positioning Fiji as a rising destination for high-value international investment.

“Fiji has long been a coveted addition to our global portfolio,” said Kerzner CEO Philippe Zuber.

“Unlocking this destination aligns perfectly with our strategic growth in the Asia-Pacific region and reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences—while showcasing the warmth and hospitality of the Fijian spirit on a global stage.”

The project includes an exclusive collection of 20 One&Only Private Homes, offering luxurious, fully serviced residences with direct access to the resort’s world-class amenities.

The homes will blend traditional Fijian design elements with modern architecture, embracing open-air living and spectacular views of the ocean and surrounding tropical landscape.

“Inspired by the spirit of Fiji, the design, character, and experiences of the resort and Private Homes will be infused with the soul of the islands,” said Juan Aguilar, President of Real Estate at Kerzner.

Scheduled to open in 2029, the One&Only Yasawa resort will span 127 acres of Nacula Island, featuring 40 guest accommodations (rooms, suites, and villas), six gourmet culinary experiences, Club One wellness centre, and Bespoke, immersive island adventures curated for high-end travellers.

The venture is expected to create local jobs, build capacity within Fiji’s tourism industry, and elevate the country’s reputation as a premium destination.

“This is another pivotal moment in our growth journey,” said Michael Nacola, Managing Director of BSP Life Fiji.

“Kerzner’s arrival elevates Fiji’s posture as a prime investment destination on the global stage. We look forward to a rewarding partnership.”

Kerzner and BSP Life also acknowledged the traditional landowners of Nacula and thanked the Fijian Government for its support and partnership in making the project possible.
