Police are investigating an alleged murder in Ra following the death of a man who was reportedly assaulted by a group of fellow villagers earlier this week.
It is understood the victim remained in the village after the alleged assault before being taken to the Nayavu Health Centre.
He was later transferred to Suva for further treatment, where he died.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that one suspect is being questioned.
“One suspect is being questioned while investigations are ongoing to identify the others involved,” she said.
