ACP Khan said 33 officers had been deployed from the PSRU (Police Special Response Unit) and headquarters just to assist officers in the Northern Division maintain police operations.
He also confirmed no reports had been received so far from any of the evacuation centres around the country and attributed this to increased police visibility.
“We are continuously monitoring the evacuation centres and we have a tab of all the centres that have been managed through our divisional emergency operations centres (EOCs).”
