Ship and vessel crew members diving at the Port Muaiwalu jetty in Suva are being warned to take extra caution following the sighting of sharks within the vicinity of the jetty.

Whilst responding to videos and pictures of sharks found at the jetty, Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said for their own safety, crew and members of the public needed to be careful when accessing waters near the jetty.

“We are aware of the video and people need to take caution for their own safety,” she said.

A video and photos of two sharks in the waters at the jetty were recently circulated on Facebook.
