Fiji’s Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says he has no plans to change residences anytime soon as the decision for housing lay with the Public Service Commission (PSC).
During an interview at his office in Suva, Mr Rabuka stressed it was normal procedure for the sitting Prime Minister to move into his official quarters.
“I’m waiting for Public Service Commission, normally does the quarters allocation in association with the Lands Department who looks after the quarters, so we will give the occupants time to relocate,” he said.
“My moving out of the official quarters in ’99 was very quick because I was prepared, either way, to win and continue or to lose and move on.
“Last time, I moved out in one night.”
