Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama today unveiled a War Memorial Plaque at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital (CWMH) to honour the sacrifices made by the disciplinary forces.
Mr Bainimarama said the CWM Hospital was built to remember the 123 Fijian and British soldiers who left Fiji shores with their comrades and arms more than a century ago to fight which was called the Cold War and did not return.
“The CWM today stands as a fitting memorial to those soldiers because it has been dedicated to healing,” Mr Bainimarama said.
The PM also opened the newly Korean Government funded Audiology Clinic at the hospital as well.
