The People’s Alliance party remained heavily reliant on Government funding in 2025, with official financial disclosures showing the party recorded a $41,270 deficit despite receiving a $325,000 Government grant, according to financial disclosures released by the Fijian Elections Office.

According to the party’s income and expenditure statement for the financial year ending December 31, 2025, total income stood at $362,981, slightly higher than the $356,129 recorded in 2024.

The Government grant remained the party’s largest source of income, contributing $325,000 in both years and accounting for the overwhelming majority of revenue.

Donations to the party increased from $18,237 in 2024 to $26,650 in 2025, while fundraising proceeds also rose significantly from $1444 to $7839.

However, membership income declined sharply from $2695 in 2024 to just $832 in 2025.

Despite a reduction in overall spending, the party still ended the year operating at a deficit.

Total expenditure for 2025 stood at $404,251, down from $499,621 in the previous year — a reduction of more than $95,000.

Secretariat support allowances remained the largest single expense at $200,909, although lower than the $214,412 recorded in 2024.

Other major expenses included rent at $49,760, salary payments to the general secretary amounting to $24,500, and hiring expenses for catering, equipment and vehicle hire totalling $20,571.

The party also spent $18,263 on FNPF contributions and $12,736 on travel and accommodation costs.

Meeting expenses reached $7376 while electricity bills totalled $7115 during the year.

Legal expenses dropped significantly from $10,000 in 2024 to nil in 2025, while advertising and marketing costs also fell from $4804 to $2521.

Although the party recorded another annual deficit, the 2025 shortfall was substantially lower than the $143,492 deficit reported in 2024.
