With Super W now concluded, majority of the players will be injected into the Fijiana XV system as the journey to the 2025 Rugby World Cup gets underway with the Oceania Rugby Women’s Championship.

The Oceania Rugby Women’s Championship is scheduled to be held next month in Australia and it is one of the six regional qualifying pathways available for teams for next year’s world cup in England.

Fijiana will face Samoa, Tonga and Papua New Guinea with the winner of the Championship to earn direct qualification.

Drua W head coach Mosese Rauluni and his team will get a break from rugby for a week before they lace up again for the next task.

“Yes, we got a week off now before we get back together in Nadi with the Fijiana and get ready to play lour arch-rivals, Tonga, Samoa and Papua New Guinea and see if we can qualify for the World Cup,” Rauluni said.

The tournament is set to run from May to June.

Only four teams have qualified for the Women’s Rugby World Cup including hosts, England, Canada, France and New Zealand who were the top four from the 2022 world cup.
