Nothing has reached my office yet. This was the comment from Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka after 5pm yesterday when asked by this newspaper whether he had received the resolution to reinstate ousted Education Minister Aseri Radrodro by more than 30 members of the SODELPA management board
. When asked about the resolution decided by the board members at a meeting in Suva yesterday, Mr Rabuka said “what resolution?”
“I was not aware of any meeting whatsoever and I have not received anything let alone a resolution from SODELPA management board.
“I am not part of SODELPA.
“Nothing has reached my office yet.”
Following the meeting that ended around 1pm, SODELPA leader Viliame Gavoka said the resolution would be delivered “within the hour”.
“What we have decided today is we have passed a resolution to plead with the Honourable PM to relook at the case with Honourable Aseri Radrodro and to reinstate him,” said Mr Gavoka.
“We believe that several issues were not clear. “Some communications were not clear and some communication could have been better.
“Honourable Radrodro had done exactly what was required of him by the PM with the Charter of FNU.”
SODELPA general secretary Viliame Takayawa said they had done their part. “We had already given our resolution through our party leader,” he said.
