WORKING his way to recognition in spite of the challenges he faced was the guiding principle that kept centre George Bose going.

Bose was part of the Fiji Airways men’s sevens training squad training session at the High-Performance Unit gym at Laucala Bay, Suva earlier this week.

This isn’t the Draiba, Nadroga native’s first stint with the side as he was a part of the squad during former coach Ben Gollings’ tenure last season.

While he has been included in the training squad, he mentioned how he had faced challenges along the way.

“It isn’t easy especially having to make it into camp but at the end of it, its all about continuing to persevere and keep on going,” Bose mentioned.

He had to overcome challenges such as having to adapt to the flow of play and training in the sevens team as compared to what he had gone through with his club.

“I had to adjust to the flow of the (sevens) team from what I was used to in the club and there were many changes I had to make in terms of training on a daily basis,” he stated.

While he hopes to secure an international contract, he lauded the support of his family for continuing to back him.

Meanwhile, Bose was part of the BLK Lavidi team that played in the Fiji Bitter Kadavu 7s a fortnight ago, where he was noticed by Fiji 7s head coach Osea Kolinisau who brought him into camp soon after.
