NFP nets surplus

THE National Federation Party reported a surplus of $73,019 for the 2023 financial year compared with a loss of $14,890 in 2022, states its 2023 financial report filed with the Fijian Elections Office (FEO).

The party received $237,885 in donations and $204,167 in parliamentary office resourcing that was part of the total income of $447,645 for the 2023 financial year.

NFP incurred expenses of $347,627, out of which:

n $119,238 was for meeting and campaign expenses;

n $83,544 for wages and $58,344 as volunteers’ allowances.

The party has reported it has land and buildings worth $730,000.

The accounts show NFP has $75,713 in three bank accounts in 2023 compared with $10,227 in 2022.

“$15,868 was held in BSP Suva, $59,612 in another BSP Suva account titled Election Account and $233 with Bank of Baroda in Lautoka.”

The party had liabilities of $36,071.
