The National Fire Authority is investigating two fires that destroyed a home in Natavileka, Dawasamu, last Sunday and a classroom building at the vacant Vatuwaqa Primary School early on Monday morning.
The house in Natavileka was engulfed when Korovou firefighters arrived at the village.
The uninsured house sustained 100 per cent damage with losses estimated at $50,000. Its two occupants were at church and no injuries were reported.
At Vatuwaqa Primary School, a crew from the Valelevu Fire Station arrived to find the classroom block on fire. Damage is estimated at $60,000.
