Damodar Yatulau Pte Ltd has announced “The OVALS” restaurant as their newest tenant at the Damodar Arts Village in Pacific Harbour.
Speaking during the announcement at the Damodar City Cine-lounge in Laucala, Suva yesterday, Damodar Group chief executive officer Div Damodar said the new restaurant will strengthen their vision of being a vibrant, creative and cultural hub dedicated to supporting local talent, entrepreneurship and artistic expression in Fiji.
He said the OVALS bring a new level of sophistication and entertainment to Pacific Harbour designed to create a legacy of elegance offering guests a premium dining and entertainment experience defined by exceptional service and refined cuisine.
Mr Damodar said the venue will feature a carefully curated menu that transforms locally sourced ingredients into culinary art, complemented by an exclusive sommelier-selected wine collection showcasing some of the world’s most prestigious estates.
“This will include a state of art sports bar and live performance stage, creating a seamless transition from elegant jazz-inspired dinning to vibrant evening entertainment by the water’s edge,” Mr Damodar said. He said this reflects their ongoing commitment to supporting the tourism creative industries while creating opportunities for local businesses and entrepreneurs to thrive.
Restaurant director Waeya Mataele Tokaiulunivanua said “The OVAL” is designed to deliver an unforgettable experience that blends sophistication, entertainment and Fiji’s unique hospitality culture, lighting up Pacific Harbour as a destination restaurant and entertainment experience. He said the restaurant is expected to open in the first week of November and create around 15 job opportunities for people who understand the restaurants core values, the mood around the service food and around customer care. He added that around $500, 000 or more will be invested.
“We are thinking of investing around half a million dollars for the restaurant, and we know that it might take more to do that, to get it to the standard that we want for the locals to achieve,” he said.
