FARMERS in Seaqaqa are expected to rake in hundreds of dollars after a new multi million dollar market is completed.

Labasa Town Council chairperson Paul Jaduram said the development would improve access for those travelling from surrounding rural areas, making it easier to bring goods to the market and connect with transport services.

“The upgraded facilities would provide a safer and more organised environment for both sellers and customers,” said Mr Jaduram.

The project, he said, would also create new economic opportunities for small local businesses.

“Improved transport links would ease travel for daily commuters and strengthen connectivity between Seaqaqa and nearby communities.

“The market will serve as a central hub for trade, supporting local farmers and vendors while encouraging business activity.”

Mr Jaduram said the development was also expected to reduce congestion and improve the overall flow of business operations.

“Communities would benefit in the long term through increased income opportunities and improved services.”

He said the new infrastructure would play a key role in driving growth and development across the wider Macuata region.
