Netball Fiji has announced that the upcoming All Stars Netball Tournament will be held at the Vodafone Arena in Suva next month.
This was confirmed by Netball Fiji chief executive officer Vivian Koster, with the tournament set to take place from May 9-14.
The tournament will feature the best of the best, including the Fiji Pearls, the Fiji Open Men’s team, two teams from U21 Baby Pearls squad, and the Fiji Men’s U23 squad.
“The tournament will be more than just a showcase of talent, it holds immense significance as a preparatory platform for both the Fiji Pearls and the Baby Pearls ahead of their upcoming international campaigns,” Koster said.
She says the tournament will help the Fiji Pearls side with their preparations for the PacificAus Sports Netball Series which will be held at Brisbane’s Nissan Arena in Australia from June 10-15.
Meanwhile, the Baby Pearls U21 squad will be competing in the 21&U Oceania Qualification event in the Cook Islands on September 16.
Koster emphasised the importance of the All-Stars tournament as an opportunity for players to develop their skills and performance on the court.
“The tournament will be an invaluable opportunity for players to hone their skills, fine-tune strategies, and strengthen team cohesion in preparation for the challenges that lay ahead.”
