The Under-19 Nasinu Secondary School Panthers secured their fifth Vodafone Trophy title after beating Ratu Kadavulevu School Eels 12-8 in the FSSRL grand final today.

Head coach Manasa Rokotuiveikau said they came with a mission to secure, which they accomplished in the face of greater odds.

“RKS is a champion team and have shown so all season, but I thank my boys for digging deep, avenging last year’s loss and bringing home the Vodafone Trophy,” Rokotuiveikau said.

Rokotuiveikau added he was looking forward to better things for his young squad.

Panthers forward Josefa Gaunavinaka was named best player of the grand final.
