AFTER five rounds of the Vodafone Southern Zone Deans Competition, Nasinu Secondary School has continued its impressive unbeaten run across the boy’s grades and the Weet-Bix Raluve competition, carrying strong momentum into this weekend’s quarter-finals.
With consistent performances across multiple divisions, Nasinu has established itself as one of the competition’s standout schools.
Their depth of talent and ability to produce results at every level have kept them firmly on course as the race for the Southern Zone honours enters the knockout stages.
Leading the charge was the Under-18 side, which produced one of the standout performances of round five with a commanding 42-7 victory over Ratu Sir Lala Sukuna Memorial School to maintain its unbeaten record heading into the finals.
The U19 team also continued its winning form, holding off Assemblies of God High School 17-12 in another determined display to remain unbeaten after five rounds.
Nasinu’s U16 side kept its campaign on track with a convincing 22-10 victory over Rampur College, while the U15 steam fought hard to earn a 14-14 draw against Marist Brothers High School in one of the closest contests of the round.
The school’s consistency extended into the Weet-Bix Southern Zone Raluve competition, where the U16 girls played out a hard-fought 19-19 draw against Lomary Secondary School. The U18 Raluve side had a bye in round five.
With quarter-finals now set, Nasinu remains one of the schools to beat another strong showing across both boys’ and girls’ competitions.
The unbeaten run has placed the school in a strong position as it looks to carry its momentum into the knockout rounds and continue its push for Southern Zone Deans and Raluve honours.
