Nasinu Football Club is ready to make a comeback to the Premier Division after a stunning performance during the first leg of the Digicel Senior League playoff against Savusavu FC.
Nasinu FC Association president Jagindar Singh said the players were ready to go out and perform and showcase their talents on the field this weekend.
The first leg of the Digicel Senior League playoff between Nasinu FC and Savusavu FC ended in a 1-all draw last Sunday at Ganilau Park in Savusavu.
Singh said they were confident to put up a better show in the second leg.
“The boys showed the never-say-die attitude in the first leg after fighting back to equalise in the last minute of the game on Sunday which shows the boys are eager to play in the top level, “said Singh.
“Coming from behind and drawing against Savusavu at their home turf is a boost to the side.”
Singh said he was confident that the boys would be able to go out and perform on Sunday.
“I know the boys have learned the lesson with a draw in the first leg and know what it is to win the final leg.
“We have some experienced players with the likes of Amani Makoe, Ilisoni Logavou, Jonetani Buksh, Don Raj, Taniela Rakariva, and Viliame Sowani to name a few.”
Singh urged all southern football fans to come out in numbers and support the team on Sunday.
The second leg of the Digicel Senior League playoff will be played at 1pm before the final of the Rooster Chicken/Scoop Ice Cream Battle of the Giants Tournament.
