Murder suspect remanded

A WOMAN who is alleged to have murdered her new-born baby in December last year was yesterday further remanded in custody by High Court judge Justice Daniel Goundar.

Ms Begum, who faces one count of infanticide, appeared before Justice Goundar in the Labasa High Court via Skype yesterday.

The matter was adjourned and will be called again for mention on February 27.
