The legal proceedings against two men from Qauia in Lami charged for the murder of Police Constable 8012 Peniasi Racagi have been discontinued.
Keni Salawai, 42, and Jope Seniloli, 20, appeared before Justice Daniel Goundar this morning.
Theresa State led by Senior Legal Officer Sadaf Shameem issued a Nolle prosequi.
Justice Goundar explained to both men that the State, under the law, is not required to provide reasons for its decision to discontinue the proceedings.
However, he reminded them that although they had been discharged, the State could recharge them in the future.
