Municipal council in Sister City partnership

Update: 4:08PM THE Nasinu Town Council has engaged with Sherfa province in Vanuatu in a Sister City partnership for future economic growth opportunities for both municipalities.

“Looking at Pacific Islands growth and history, we have been working to go beyond cultural and symbolic partnerships by promoting modernised partnerships serving as a tool for municipalities and towns to face mutual issues, economic development, water management, waste recycling, the improvement of social services or cultural exchanges,” said the council’s chief executive officer Akhtar Ali.

Mr Ali said a team from Vanuatu would arrive in April next year to look at Nasinu’s development plan and its strategic plans from 2015 to 2025.
