When Swire Shipping Fijian Drua opensideflanker Motikiai (Motty) Murray makes his dream debut and runs onto the turf in Christchurch against the Crusaders this Saturday, he will carry the hopes of the nation, his family, his Lovoni, Ovalau, and Ono-i-Lau relatives and the people of Viro and Naqeledamu settlement on his 20-year-old shoulders.

The Fiji under-20 captain says his inclusion as openside flanker in this Saturday’s historic clash is a “big moment” for him.

“It is a big moment for me being called up to make my debut in our first quarter-final appearance ever in only our second year in the competition,” said Murray.

“There will be a lot of expectations and I will try and match the work rate of the other forwards.”
