THE Miss Grand Fiji team is now accepting applications for this year’s representative to the Miss Grand International (MGI) to take place in the ‘Golden Land’ of Myanmar on October 25 later this year.
A statement issued by the organisers of Miss Grand Fiji said the Fijian mission included providing aid and relief to those suffering from violent living situations and advocating messages of freedom, peace, and harmony.
“Together, we can empower a Fijian representative to make a stand for the betterment of humanity through the ‘Stop the War and Violence’ mission,” the statement said.
“The panel at Miss Grand Fiji is looking for a Fijian representative who embodies the values of not just beauty but empathy, kindness, compassion, and intelligence.
“The representative must be well spoken and have the confidence to address audiences of hundreds to thousands.”
The auditions at the national finalists for Miss Grand Fiji will require ladies to perform swimwear and evening gown runway, an interview with the panel of judges and a final question and answer session.
The national finals will be hosted in Fiji in June where Miss Grand Fiji 2018 will be crowned by reigning Queen Nadine Roberts.

Miss Grand Fiji is one of the newest and fastest growing beauty pageants in the South Pacific, with over 1.7 billion viewers in its first edition in 2013.
