Media were asked to leave a key session of the Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Business Symposium this evening at the request of Employment Minister Agni Deo Singh.
Mr Singh, who attended as Chief Guest, directed that media exit the question-and-answer segment, citing the sensitivity of information related to the Employment Relations Amendment (ERA) Bill.
He said details discussed could not be made public as the Bill has yet to be tabled in Parliament and remains confidential.
During his earlier address, the Minister also revealed that the Select Committee report on the ERA Bill will not be presented in Parliament next week, indicating a delay in the process.
