Marriott International has announced the retirement of Neeraj Chadha, Multi-Property Vice President for the Pacific Islands, effective January 31, 2026 — marking the end of a career that has spanned more than 17 years with the company.
Regional Vice President for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, Jason Nuell, said the company was bidding farewell to a respected leader.
“It is with deep appreciation and mixed emotions that I announce the retirement of Neeraj Chadha,” Nuell said.
“His career with Marriott has been both extensive and influential.”
Chadha rejoined Marriott in 2012, having earlier served as a general manager between 2003 and 2007.
Over the years, he has overseen hotel operations across Australia, Fiji, Samoa and New Caledonia, progressing through multiple general manager appointments before assuming multi-property leadership responsibilities across the Pacific Islands.

Nuell said Chadha’s impact extended beyond hotel performance.
“One of Neeraj’s most meaningful contributions has been his work in strengthening community ties throughout the Pacific,” he said.
“He has championed local partnerships, cultural understanding and community engagement initiatives that have helped our hotels play a deeper, more positive role in the regions we serve.”
Chadha’s leadership, Nuell added, has also supported local talent development and nurtured long-standing relationships across the hospitality sector.
While Marriott did not immediately announce a successor, Nuell said the foundations Chadha helped build would continue to benefit teams across the region.
“Please join me in thanking Neeraj for his remarkable service, and in wishing him and his family every happiness in the future,” he said.
Chadha’s retirement will take effect at the end of January 2026.
