Marist Storm U17 side are banking on their key players to shine in their clash against the Sigatoka Valley Cowboys during the Fiji Secondary School Rugby League national quarterfinals at Prince Charles Park in Nadi today.
Team captain Peni Savou expressed confidence in the team’s preparations, highlighting the squad’s dedication and focus as they enter the knockout stages of the competition.
Savou emphasized the team’s mindset of treating every game as a final, embodying their season motto of “Break Through” as they strive for success.
“Preparation has been good for us, taking it one step at a time, and holding up to our season’s motto breakthrough,” said Savou.
“We have a few keys players such as Emani Daveta, Eliki Temo, Martin Tikomailepanoni, and our vice-captain Ilisoni Saula leading the charge, hoping for a good matchup.
Savou urged caution against underestimating their opponents who have also earned their place in the top four.
“We are looking at a tough and competitive matchup, the team remains focused on our goals, and we are determined to give our best effort on the field.”
