WOMEN play a vital role in supporting their husbands to financially assist with family needs, says the president of the Soqosoqo Vakamarama ko Macuata Adi Melaia Ritova.
In encouraging women at the group’s annual soli day held today, Ms Ritova said women were influential in their families and society.
“This annual event is to also provide an opportunity for our women from the 12 districts to come and sell their products and take back home some money for their families,” she said.
“It’s another time to strengthen the bond between the women of Macuata and share ideas about hand-made products.”
The event was held at Katonivere Park in Labasa.
