LTA has a new Chairman

Lui Naisara has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Board.

MMinister responsible for LTA, Ro Filipe Tuisawau said Mr. Naisara brings to the role more than 30 years of experience in civil service, particularly in the areas of transport, energy, and policy development.

“The Land Transport Authority plays a critical role in ensuring the safety of all road users in Fiji,” he said.

“Mr. Naisara’s vast experience and strong vision will be instrumental in guiding the LTA Board and the Authority as a whole to deliver on its mission of keeping Fijians safe on our roads.”

Mr. Naisara has served in several senior positions within government, including as Deputy Secretary responsible for Transport and Energy at both the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport, and the Ministry of Works, Transport and Energy.

“His appointment reflects not only his proven leadership but also his deep understanding of the transport sector’s challenges and opportunities,” Minister Tuisawau said.

“We are confident that under Mr. Naisara’s chairmanship, the LTA will continue to evolve as a modern, responsive, and people-centred institution.”

Mr. Naisara holds a Master in Transport Management from the University of Sydney’s Institute of Transport and Logistics, a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of the South Pacific. He also holds a Diploma in Transport Management and Planning from Galilee College, Israel.
